La televisión ha sido su vida, su casa y el escenario de sus triunfos e infortunios. Natalia Streignard entró al mundo del espectáculo por la pasarela: como finalista del Miss Venezuela saltó al modelaje y de allí a la pantalla. Fue una transición que fluyó sin sobresaltos, hasta que la fama, la exposición pública y los rigores del trabajo le pasaron factura. Separaciones, enfermedades, sueños postergados. Altos y bajos, como a todos nos pasa.

Pero eso jamás le restó ánimo a Natalia, y como me dijo en este episodio de Metamorfosis, su angelito de la guarda siempre ha estado a su lado. Al igual que su optimismo y sonrisa.



Tras el certamen de belleza y los viajes alrededor del mundo, llegó uno de los grandes cambios en su vida. Tuvo que dejar atrás a su familia para hacer carrera en la televisión hispana de los Estados Unidos. “Pasé de ser la Natalia hija de papá y mamá, a la mujer responsable de su carrera y su vida”. Fue su paso a una verdadera adultez.

Aunque su gran Metamorfosis ocurrió hace pocos meses. El nacimiento de su hijo le hizo cambiar la manera de ver las cosas y todo lo que construyó a lo largo de su vida. “Renuncié a la televisión por algo que estaba en mi mente. Tenía 38 años y tenía que ponerme las pilas, porque de otra manera no tendría familia”. Sabía que el tren de la maternidad se le podía ir y que la TV podría esperar. Así que se quedó casa para construir un hogar con su marido y no se arrepiente de esa decisión. Pero ahora quiere volver a las pantallas. “Es un trabajo que amo y al que me entrego en cuerpo y alma. Ya me hace falta salir de casa y volver a una rutina”.



Hace unos años su primer matrimonio con el actor Mario Cimarro se robó las cámaras de todo el continente. Al igual que su separación. Hablando sobre esa época, Natalia me dijo que el amor es como una matica: hay que regarla todos los días. La distancia, las agendas de trabajo y la presión mediática fue demasiado para la pareja. “El medio de la TV es muy solitario, porque amigos reales hay pocos”.
